Grantmaking
The Corfu Foundation supports preventive, holistic approaches that target the following
areas of interest:
• Ecological sustainability
• Health and wellness
• Social justice
• Spirituality
Seeking to leverage the power and reach of today's communication revolution, the Foundation funds conferences, dialogues, innovative multi-media projects, documentaries, books, and creative uses of the Internet that engage targeted audiences in critical thinking, encourage civic awareness, and advance our mission. Support is provided in the form of organizational grants and fellowship grants for individuals.
Grant Size:
Our grants typically range from $5,000 - $20,000.
Process:
The application process begins with a submission of a letter of inquiry, accepted on a rolling basis. Please be sure to include information related to your target audience and distribution plans, if relevant. You will be notified if invited to submit a full proposal. The Board of Directors meets twice a year, in the spring and fall, to award funding.
Deadlines: Though the Foundation accepts letters of inquiry on a rolling basis, to be considered for funding either in the spring or fall cycles, letters must be received by January 15th and July 15th respectively. If invited to submit a full proposal, the deadline for the spring cycle is March 1st and September 1st for the fall cycle.
